ACLS Sim 2011

Anesoft ACLS Sim 2011 for iPhone is a real-time simulator that provides the ability to practice the management of cardiac arrest. The treatment protocols in this course are based on latest recommendations of the International Consensus on Science published in the Guidelines 2010 for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care.

Select a simulated case scenario, study the patient's history and determine the ECG rhythm. Assess the patient, control the Airway, Breathing, and Circulation, Defibrillate and provide other treatment as necessary. You will have successfully treated the problem with restoration of a spontaneous pulse.

The best way to learn to use the ACLS Sim 2011 program is to run Case 1 and select What Now? repeatedly during the case simulation. This example case will highlight most of the features of the program. You will need to perform CPR, defibrillate, intubate and administer medications.

Following the resuscitation, the simulated patient may be hypotensive or hypertensive, have myocardial ischemia or other problems requiring further treatment. ACLS Sim 2011 for the iPhone concentrates only on restoration of the rhythm and pulse. Use Anesoft's Hemodynamics Simulator to review cardiovascular physiology, invasive monitoring, and vasoactive infusions. Use Anesoft's Critical Care Simulator to practice the management of cardiovascular and respiratory emergencies other than cardiac arrest.

ACLS Sim 2011 for the iPhone is shipped with a case library of 12 cases. The first 6 cases cover the Pulseless Arrest Algorithm. Cases 1-3 are ventricular fibrillation, cases 4-5 are pulseless ventricular tachycardia, and case 6 is asystole. The remainder of the cases review the ACLS Tachycardia Algorithm. We suggest you work through the cases in order, but you don't have to.

'Anesoft ACLS Sim 2012' is the third of a series of apps from Anesoft Corporation to improve your resuscitation skills. This app enables you to rehearse megacode management - anytime, anywhere. With regular practice you will always be ready to run a full cardiac resuscitation.

You must evaluate the patient and electrocardiogram rhythm, decide on the appropriate management, and guide two assistants through the resuscitation. The assistants are skilled, but will only do what you tell them to do. You must serve as the team leader for the resuscitation efforts.

The 12 case scenarios included with this app were written by Howard Schwid, MD. The first three cover ventricular fibrillation, the next two are for pulseless ventricular tachycardia, another covers asystole, and the remainder of the cases cover the tachycardia algorithm.

ACLS Sim Lite

Practice ACLS scenarios on your Android phone or tablet.

Anesoft ACLS Sim Lite is based on the 2010 AHA guidelines. It provides the ability to practice the management of cardiac arrest. Direct two assistants to control the airway and breathing, perform CPR, defibrillate and administer meds. ACLS Sim Lite is shipped with just one case scenario and serves as an introduction to ACLS Sim 2011 for Android which has 12 cases.

Learning electrocardiograms with “ECG Rhythms” is better and more fun than a book because the electrocardiogram waveforms sweep across the screen of your Android just as they do on a real ECG monitor. The program reinforces a standardized approach to rhythm recognition to rapidly identify the all the ECG rhythms in ACLS.
