The Machining Calculator from Sandvik Coromant is designed to help engineers and machinists optimize the performance of their turning, milling and drilling applications by calculating optimal cut settings based on job parameters.
To use it is simple, just enter the input values and the results will show at the top.
Parameter descriptions etc are found in Information under More, and your preferences can be changed in Settings. Try Advanced mode for more detailed calculations.

Spectrum™ Turn
The Sandvik Coromant app for turning multi materials
Sandvik Coromant has a range of turning inserts designed to provide long tool life in the most varying conditions. You can keep the same insert when shifting from one component and work piece material to another.
This app will help you try out your own material mix and conditions and get a customized selection of turning inserts. To begin, choose your desired operation in the wheel chart. Then choose materials (change distribution by dragging the colored sliders), component size (pinch to change size) and application areas.
The result presented is the recommended insert for your machining operations. You can choose to add favorites and share the products via email. Each product also links directly to our web shop.
Start Values
Sandvik Coromant Start Values will give you recommended cutting data (speed, feed and depth of cut) for your machining operations.
Scan the insert case barcode or search on part of product order code to get recommendations for different materials. Switch between metric or ANSI order codes in the info page.
