9 Line MEDEVAC Training App

This app is designed to allow Soldiers to train on the procedures for calling in a MEDEVAC. It is not intended for actual use. The app allows users to quickly identify their location and convert to MGRS. It also allows them to input and save their frequency and call sign. Then, with the click of a few buttons can prepare all of the information required to send in the 9 Line request.

Two features in the app (SMS and email) are obviously not designed as the primary means to send the 9 line Medical Evacuation, but they allow a follow-up electronic communication to be sent after the 9 Line is sent via the radio.

Designed for the United States Army.

Army Awards

United States Army Awards puts your awards in order for wear on the Army Service Uniform (Class A or B) and shows the placement of authorized devices for each ribbon. Great app for Soldiers and leaders. Simply put in an awardee name, save it, and start adding your awards and devices. Rotate to landscape to view awards in a ribbon rack.

Product Features:

- search for an award by name or an acronym (ie. ARCOM for Army Commendation Medal).

- separates awards by individual and unit awards and places them in order for each category.

- adding an additional award will add either an Oak Leaf Cluster, Service Star, Clasp, or Numeral as appropriate for the award.

- will present any special devices such as "V", "M", or Arrowhead devices if authorized for the award.

- rotate to landscape to see the ribbons mounted in a ribbon rack. Swipe left or right to see unit or individual award ribbon racks.

- includes awards for all US armed services and selected civilian awards as authorized for wear on the US Army Service Uniform. Automatically places them in order as directed by Army Regulations 670-1 and 600-8-22.

As you watch this app, ask yourself "Who do I want to be?" This instruction can strengthen your moral identity by learning the Army Values and by applying them in discussions and exercises.

BAH Rate Query

This Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) Query App allows you to search for the amount of money you can make based on your rank and zip code, using Department of Defense (DoD) rates for Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines - Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines. It allows you to toggle between the different years to see how much the rates have changed over the years.

CAPE: Profession of Arms

The overall objective of the Campaign is for Soldiers and leaders to refine their understanding of what it means to be professionals- expert members of the Profession of Arms-after over nine years of war and to recommit to a culture of service and the responsibilities and behaviors of our profession as articulated in the Army ethic.

Router Commands Training Aid

This app was designed for United States Army Soldier students at Fort Gordon Georgia to provide a quick reference for router commands to assist with the instruction at the Functional Area 53 course, the Signal Captains' Career Course, the 251/254 (255) Warrant Officer Courses, as well as the courses at the Regimental NCO academy.

The app has basic router commands, show commands, password commands, copy commands, logging commands, information on dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP), simple network management protocol (SNMP), open shortest path first (OSPF), border gateway protocol (BGP), next hop resolution protocol (NHRP), network time protocol (NTP), and IPSec. It also offers tips on Command Line Interface navigation, router modes of operation, interfaces, and other Commands.

Developed by the Mobile Apps Branch, with the primary work being done by CPT Stephanie Stuck.



Signal Conference

The 2010 United States Army Signal Conference will be held from November 29 - December 3 at TRADOC's Signal Center of Excellence at Fort Gordon Georgia.

This app has a schedule of events, a map to find those events (with navigation options), a way to share contacts, check local weather, view updates from the conference Twitter and Facebook pages, see frequently asked questions, view the uniform of the day and download more apps from FA53.



Signal Corps Lieutenant Book

This handbook provides a quick reference and study for Signal Second Lieutenants, First Lieutenants and anyone interested in the Signal Corps Officer profession (including Army ROTC Soldiers and West Point Cadets).

With info on what to expect as a platoon leader, executive officer and S6, this handbook is packed with info.

This app - and the content for the handbook - was developed by Soldiers at Fort Gordon. FA53 officers developed the app and 25A officers wrote the material. This app is part of the Connecting Soldiers to Digital Applications (CSDA) initiative and honors the 150th anniversary of the United States Signal Corps.



TC 3-22.20 - Army Phyiscal Readiness Training

Training Circular 3-22.20 is the Army's new manual use to conduct Physical Training. This application shows all of the exercises and has videos to accompany many of them. It also shows workout recommendations based on the new standards in the training circular to allow a unit leader to plan PT for the unit.



U.S. Army Creeds

This application is designed for United States Army Soldiers, Non-Commissioned Officers, Warrant Officers, Officers, Civilians, Cadets, and Rangers who want to remember — or memorize — the creeds of their respective ranks.

It also has the 7 Army Values, 3 General Orders, Phonetic Alphabet and Army, so it is a good resource for initial entry soldiers to study prior to basic training.

Let this simple app be your guide to assist you in remembering the creeds and basic knowledge required of all Soldiers.

US Army APFT-Body Fat Calculator

Input scores from the Army Physical Fitness Test and the Body Fat measurements to determine pass and fail.

This app includes alternate events for the APFT and has extended scale calculations.

It also has the APFT instructions, with a night mode to make reading easier in the dark.



US Army Bugle Calls

This selection of United States Army bugle calls allows people to play from 18 classic bugle calls.

Great for Soldiers, family members, ROTC Cadets, Boy Scouts, band members and anyone who wants a soundboard of Army bugle calls.



US Army Network Acronyms

This app contains a variety of acronyms used in training and execution of computer networking. The iPad version has a virtual keyboard to work allow quick entry into the terms. The app includes military networking glossary and acronym lists, including acronyms like VPN, MAC, NCS, SQL, TCP, WLAN, ASCII, URL, CDIM, SDP, VOIP, LAN and XML. Each acronym contains a spelling out of the acronym, as well as a brief definition of the term, as well as how the term is used in a military context. Developed by CPT Stephanie Stuck at the Mobile Apps Branch in the Signal Center of Excellence at Fort Gordon, Georgia.



US Army Rights Warning Card (GTA 19-6-6 )

This application is the modern digital incarnation of the United States Army Graphic Training Aid (GTA) 19-6-6, "How to Inform Suspect/Accused Persons of their Rights".

In the past, leaders and Soldiers of all ranks have carried this card in their wallets or leader's books. Now, as an app, it serves the same purpose.

This card has provided a level of legal protection to officers and noncommissioned officers for many years, ensuring they have access to the information required to inform accused suspects of their rights and is an integral part of executing the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ).

Battalion Commanders, Sergeant Majors, Company Commanders, First Sergeants, Platoon Leaders and Platoon Sergeants now have a replacement for that old frayed Graphic Training Aid, and can use this app instead.



US Army Uniform Guide

This application provides guidelines for the general use and wear of United States Army uniforms.

It includes information on the Army Service Uniform, Mess Uniform, Army Combat Uniform, Physical Fitness Uniform, Food Service Uniform, Army Aircrew Combat Uniform.

The app shows information about how to place items on the uniform, for example US Insignia, branch insignia, rank and distinctive unit insignia. Also the nameplate, unit awards, ribbons and badges.
